The gyms in my area don't allow jeans either, and if your pants look too much like jeans they won't let you in, because other members will think that they are jeans and want to wear their jeans too. Go figure. Also no boots, etc. You must be wearing "workout attire and sneakers".

In my school gym its stricter; no crop tops (bellies showing) and not even tank tops, because infections can spread from shoulders coming in contact with the machines. Apparently no one wipes down at my school...
