It's just intimidating, ya know? And I'm a little confused ... haven't many posters posted links to articles before? And is it only a problem on your first few posts? I guess the forum rules set out how many posts before people are allowed to post certain things... I'd better go re-read them.
Dont be intimidated. Take a look around the forum on any new member that has posted legit questions, and you will find this forum one of the most helpful out there. You are among friends, the answers here in this thread reflect a response to a spammer. Dont take it personal. If you have legit information to provide, do it. If you have questions on diet and/or training please post them. We will try to help you.
Most on the forum (myself included) dont have much patience for spammers-they dont add anything of positive value and take away from the meaning of the forum, and it tends to get under some of the forum members skin.
Yes, many forum members make links to another persons article, but these are not advertisements to a sell a theory or an idea, but rather an article that is taylored to the subject matter at hand without the spam.
ROCK on!

Yeah, I see that now. I just got a bit spooked but it's true that you guys have only ever been perfectly polite to me and almost everyone else I've seen. Even me pointing out how intimidating it could be didn't provoke flames - like it would if there were any actual flamers here. So now I feel quite safe. Thanks for clearing it up for me!

COOL! Then ROCK!
If you have questions then.......post a new thread in the appropriate section, and I am sure myself or another forum member would be more than happy to try to assist you.
You have to be a bit thick skinned on forums. But this one tends not to tolerate "attitude to a point" and personally, I like that sort of "attitude" toward a bad attitude........LOL..........

Wow, you guys are brutal. I'm sorry you do not like my article. Obviously this sites members are too advanced for it. It is aimed at those who fall prey to the hyped up fads out there. It is just a short article to get them thinking and do further research on their own. Also, if I have done something so wrong then why hasn't this been deleted?
I apologize for any wrong doing if I have done any. Can you please stop the negativity toward me and just delete this post if that is what the rules say is to be done?

If you make quality posts in the attempt to assist persons on the forum, I will apologize, until then. I refrain.

Spammers don't generally hang around to defend their posts. I'm guessing the op honestly thought the article might be helpful.
This is a very well informed site, with a lot of educated and experienced members, so basic information like that isn't going to be as helpful here as it might be on other, less educated, forums.
But, geez guys, the op didn't know that. Give em' a break. (assuming of course, the op isn't an actual spammer, if you are a spammer - get bent)

1) Your link was deleted almost as soon as it went up
2) You still haven't posted outside of this thread, you just pop in every few days to say you're a genuine poster

Odd, I still see the link. Well minus the www.
Anyway, judging by the response to my post I probably am not very helpful around here. But, honestly I am a bit discouraged. Perhaps I will post to another thread but right now I'm just feeling a bit unwelcome. I'm sure that will go away with time. I'm a bit busy today but I will see about being a more helpful and active member in the future.
