Ryan Reynolds - His Diet and Workout Plan

Probably one of the fittest bodies in Hollywood is that of Ryan Reynolds. He made his first real appearance in the popular movie Van Wilder, where he showed off his six pack, and fitly toned body. However, in 2003-2004, Ryan went through an amazing transformation in preparation for his role in the movie Blade Trinity. This transformation is what really got him the attention in the health and fitness industry. In preparation, he managed to shed his body fat from 11% to only 3%, on top of gaining 20 pounds of muscle mass, all within a time period of about 5 months. Now, you ask, how did he do it?

He would start with about 500-1000 sit ups, (INSERT: ) because this was very meditative for him. It didn’t matter when they were done, but he found it most beneficial at the beginning of the workout. The lower abs are the hardest muscle to develop, so Ryan did a lot of leg lifts with both the exercise ball, and weights, to focus on these muscles.

He would then do heavy weights focusing on one body part a day. It would look something like this: Chest day 1, Back day 2, Shoulder day 3, Legs day 4, with arms mixed in, and a constant rotation of these every day.
This close resembles Brad Spits, workout....LOL.

What ever works......

Best wishes,

Chillen

I am sure the program worked. But, personally, I dont like the one body part per day, perspective, or the high amount of reps on the core. I have always kept mine weighted along with reps sub 25, with the exception of when I was going back to the police academy, where endurance of the core (rather than power) was the focus, then I upped the reps and trained for what I was about to encounter in the fitness tests, and there was a point where I could do well over 500+ without stopping (not that this means anything to me, personally speaking or in the sense that it will bring out the core--because it does NOT).

All in all, I think his program "S@cks" personally.

Best wishes

Chillen

Those weren't spray painted abs, just enhanced abs.

The actors still had abs, they didn't create abs out of nothing. They just made it even better by making the abs look thicker and deeper. The actors in that movie worked their a$$ off to get in shape. Just annoys me when people don't give them the credit they deserve and say those are fake abs. Did they photoshop in their shoulders, biceps, triceps, legs, pecs too (if they did whats the point in even trying to get in shape for a movie, might as well just photoshop some fata$$ into a buff guy )

Wow thanks for that useless bit of info.

As for ray reynolds program, what ever works but it seems pretty time intensive for what it is.

You should also know that I am prettier than this man!

... Anyway, I like these celebrity things. Very amusing. And I looooove me some Ryan Reynolds. Van Wilder is basically my role model.

I watched the behind the scenes HBO special before the movie was relesed. Those guys were insane before any type of enhancement.
