    The scale says you are, so you must be. But I can't tell any difference just yet. Be patient. Lift properly. Eat properly. Visual changes will happen slowly but surely. You've gained 5lb in a month, and you don't appear any fatter. Keep that up for another 3 months, taking progress pics every 2-4 weeks, and see what the difference is then. 3 months from now, if you keep going at the rate you've been going, you'll have gained 20lb since starting, and the mirror will definitely make you aware of it. Building muscle takes time -- very few people gain any substancial amount of muscle mass in the first month of training, so just keep at it.
