    Do stomach vacuums work?

    I have been reading about this and how to do it, my question is for those who have tried it or does it on the regular, does it work?

    holding my breath i find very hard in this exersice, can barly do 20-30 sec becuase of it.

    only hold in a slong as you can hold it "in as hard as you can"...if that made sense...20 - 30secs is plenty anyway

    a stomach vacuum is where you get on all 4's (or standing but i like all 4's better)...assume anterior pelvic tilt...suck your gut up towards your spine as hard as you can contracting all the muscles you would use to stop going to the toilet with...you should feel something about an inch or 2 below the belly button on a 45degree angle which is your transverse abdominis

    i like them standing up against a wall with my hands held overhead, makes them harder and you feel it more.

    LMFAO!!

    Anyways, I dont think you have to go on all fours to do it and you dont have to hold your breath to do it...I do it standing up, for 20 seconds each 5 times a day.

    you don't hold your breathe but you have to keep your abs sucked in so short tiny breathes will be used...standing or kneeling doesn't really matter deoends what you feel the most
