Question i need a bit of advice.

Alright, i'm 17 atm and i've gained a little weight over the year do to having no life on the computer. I wanna get back in shape i need help with a work out routine, dieting, and i also want to build a bit. the only thing i've done for exercise was doing PT (physical training) through army JROTC. i've never tried any weight lifting and i don't have daily access to a gym or weightlifting gear. If you have any advice, please. help me out.

FIRST of all if you can enroll in a gym do so, it will help a lot. IF not you can start by doing pushups, pullups and crunches, they are a good upper body workout.THEN for lower lunges, squats and calve raises without weights, that will help till you get to a gym. ------good luck!

alright, thank you very much =)

I've made a simple and small routine consisting of two workouts every other day i do 70 crunches and 75 push ups(along with a few other stretching exercises), is this a good routine? I will also go ahead and start looking at gyms in my area.

YES that is a good start, but also use 2 other days for lower body workout.AND also did you say you were doing cardio? IF not i would incorperate that in to. YOU can run, walk, climb stairs untill you get to a gym,and keep that nutrtion RIGHT ON it is 80% of any exercise program.============KEEP POSTED!

Just go jogging / running around the neighborhood or lake or park. Try some to do 2 days of wind sprints (try to do 5-10 sprints on those days with 1-2 minutes break between the sprinting). Remember it's a sprint so you are suppose to go all out for 50-200 meters.

As for no weight workout try this, go nonstop from one to next but do: 50 pushups, 50 crunches, 50 squats. Try doing 1 set, then if you can take a 2-3 minutes break and do another set. If you can go up to 3-5 sets, try upping it to 75 reps instead of 50. Once you can get to 100reps at 5 sets, you are wayy ahead of the curve. If you can jog 5 miles nonstop you are sitting pretty as well, try to make that a goal. Once you can do that, then increase your speed and decrease the total time to do that 5 miles. You really dont' need to hit the gym for first month of training to get the body ready BUT the gym will greatly help your body prepare.

good luck on the journey, stay healthy and fit.
