Abs = low bodyfat %

You can have the worlds strongest core, if your BF percentage isn't low, they're not gonna show.

Sounds harsh, but you just need to keep losing BF and they'll show through. Although, crunches alone are absolutely the WORST (aside from from nothing at all) core exercise to build abs.

All I know is that you have to hit them from all sides!
You have to work them hard! Break a sweat!
This is one of the workouts that I have been using:
Side crunches
Leg Raises
Front Crunches
Planks

Hope that helps!

There are alot of good abdominal exercises you can do to strengthen and even grow the ab muscles, but oicdn is right. If the diet isnt there along with the exercise to drop that bodyfat, that sixer will never show up.

Plus, won't doing ab exercises while you have a layer of fat ontop make it look worse?
Since making those ab muscles bigger would push the fat out more?

I would never tell anybody not to do ab exercises at all. But keep in mind, your abs arent gonna grow rapidly like your biceps would. And also, muscle growth can burn fat. So addin muscle isnt a bad thing.

Now if your just doin ab exercises and not worrying about your diet whatsoever, then you may be correct on that. Not sure as Ive never gone without diet.

Side crunches and Leg Raises are effective,do them regularly. Also try those of exercise involving more abdominal muscle movements. Most importantly,watch out you diet.
