Working out while under the influence of marijuana

So, we all know smoking marijuana usually increases users heart rate.
I can run faster and longer while stoned. Would it be reasonable to work out after smoking pot?...I am pretty sure I could do more reps and really push my muscles to the limit.. What do you think?

Marijuana lowers testosterone levels, raising your HR or not, it's hurting your lifting.

I think if you are concerned about your health and fitness you need to quit destroying your lungs.

Try it. I'm not necessarily against smoking it, I used to do it but stopped now.. but why not just run for a couple minutes in the beginning of your workout to get your heart pumping instead?

I don't think it would be wise because of what mreik said.

I'm probably going to piss a lot of smokers off but why on earth would you put so much effort into working out and get fit only to put that crap back into your body.

Regarding the article on THC and Testosterone and other hormone levels discusses in the entry Niceone had on the previous discussion of this topic of working out under the influence of Marijuana.....I was wondering.....

is there an excerpt as well on opiates and hormone levels you could link me to? I have been trying to find out what the correlation is between my hormones and basically wtf is going on in my body now that I am not taking them so much.

    thanks

FYI, recently published research found that smoking marijuana did not cause any statistical increase in your likelihood to develop lung cancer.
that's right...smoking herb doesn't give you lung cancer.

some research does say that weed lower testosterone production. that may well be true. I say 'may' because those studies were done by the US govt, who thinks weed is more dangerous than cigarettes and alcohol...and that makes me a little suspicious about their posted findings.
however for now I'd have to say that weed is NOT part of a good supplement strategy, despite Arnold and many vetern bodybuilders who used to smoke a doobie to aid in relaxation and to stimulate the appetite.

I have my reasons for feeling the way i do about it. I used to smoke a LOT when i was younger. But my reasons for quitting are personal, as are the reasons i feel the way i do about smoking dope.

....this by no means makes me an ignorant fool. I'm just very opinionated.
