to complete 140.6 Ironman, The Great Floridian, within 14:59:59 hours on October 25th.
It is soooo cool for that to finally be in the short term range.

I have my plan personally laid out, based on tangible data I have kept the previous two and a half years: This is used to prepare my future goal path.
These numbers tell a story of truth and accuracy. They do not lie. This is priceless. As I don't have to "guess" on what to do.
Last year starting from June 2007, I went from 152/154 (approximately) to 161/162 by June 2008. I actually didn't change my diet and routine until September 2007, so this is really the starting point, rather than June 2007.
I will put on 10 pounds of lean mass (in about one year, slow and methodical, despite my middle age), and be at the same BF percent of sub 8 percent as I am now, and weigh 172 pounds: I will look around 180.
I want to push myself a little bit further and be "near the same weight I once was, when I was an old fat ass"--and slap the living f^ck out of it.
Ultimate personal victory.
I will be the timeless: ROCKET-BOMB.........baby!
I will NOT be at the same place a year from now. Count on it.
Stagnation do not mingle with ROCK-ONS very well.
Best wishes
Chillen

World peace rocks. So, too, would a stable US economy.
Physically, by the end of this year, I would like to get down to 180# - 185# (from current 192#), trim 5 seconds off 25 yards in pool (from 30 - 25 seconds), 1 minute off my per mile 10K run time (low 9:00 to low 8:00), and break 1:10 in a 40K (24.8 mile) time trial bike race (need to average 22 mph for an hour).

I like this thread! Yeay jackie. Hey, wait, what are your goals!? Ante up, bizzle!
This week: tighten diet up real firm like. I've been pretty "whatever I'mma coast on genetics" ish these last couple weeks. This next one, I'mma be in quiet lockdown instead. Also want to go 7 straight days of 2x/day training sessions, which I don't believe I've ever done before.
This month: lose 15+ lbs of fat, no matter what it takes. Method is to adhere to a caloric intake of <1500 at an expenditure of >6000, while keeping protein under .75g per lb of bodyweight.
Oh, and start swimming. And actually taking my endurance training somewhat seriously, so I don't drown next August.

With my weight, I've been hovering at around 70-74kg lately. My goal is to turn the 7 into a 6, regardless of what the other number is. If I can do that, I know I've made progress. After that if I can eventually turn that 6 into a 5, I'll be extremely happy with myself.
With my physical benchmarks, I've already reached my first goal of running 1 mile within 10 minutes. My next goal is to be able to do this regularly. When I run I sometimes go on runs where I switch between jogging and running. Run a couple minutes at a mild pace, walk a couple minutes. I do this mainly to avoid overstraining my legs. I plan to gradually decrease the walking breaks in between until I'm able to do the full run with no breaks. Each minute I take off my walking time is an accomplishment.
For my strength, I'd like to see myself lifting 30lbs in each hand regularly again. I used to be able to, but after a break my muscles wont tolerate it. I can physically move the heavier weights to lift them and complete the exercise, but it's easy for me to get injured so I've been sticking more to body-weight exercise and working with 20lbs just to get myself ready to lift again.
The strength goals also incorporate into the running goals, I need the leg strength.
