help getting bigger

hey all,
there seems to be alot of good advice on this forum so i thought i'd ask a few questions!
i'm about 5'5 and around 116 pounds, so pretty small haha.
i'm really keen to get bigger, and i'm a little unsure if this means working out or just eating more. friends have recommended working out, but i really don't want to keep the same shape and just look more 'toned'. i really want to bulk up all over. but at the same time i don't want to just develop a gut.

so should i be focusing on just eating as much as i can as often as i can? and alot of carbs? things like pasta and bread?

or should i be doing alot weights training and uping my intake of protein with protein supplements? if i should be working out then what sorts of things should i do? i've got a lot of gym equipment. some people tell me do really heavy weights and only one or two reps, that if i can manage 5 or 6 its not heavy enough. i was thinking i could spend 30 minutes one day focusing on arms and chest, 30 minutes another day on back and shoulders and 30 minutes another day on my legs. i'd focus on working the major muscles and do a few sets of a few reps. will this work or will i just end up looking like a skinny body builder??

If you wanna bulk up you need to eat more..look into a calorie surplus of say 5-700 cals per day of clean foods.

Instead of splitting you`re train up as you said look into a full body workout 3x per week.

Read the stickies man ...lots of info

GOOD LUCK
