How good is the elliptical for butt toning?

I have a small, flat butt compared to the rest of me, and I heard that toning it makes it sort of bigger. Is this true?

toning down something that is not there, only makes the fact that it isnt there more obvious..... lots of peeps do the same thing with abs.

Really? I've always read that toning makes your butt look bigger, and whenever I see girls really in shape their butt kind of looks bigger.

we may have a definition of "toning" different. I think of toming as "cutting" or decreasing.
