Hi everyone. I'm new here and hope I'm posting this in the correct category. I also posted it to another category "At Home?" Due to health problems that have seriously affected my vision, I had to cancel my gym membership. The only machine I really used consistently at the gym was the Precor elliptical. I am considering purchasing the "home" version of the Precor (5.17i) elliptical. It certainly isn't cheap at $2,995 which includes shipping, delivery and install, but I tried some of the cheaper ellipticals at Sears and Academy and I guess I'm spoiled with the Precor brand. These lower end models felt, well, cheap and rinky dink and since I wil use it almost every day they probably wouldn't hold up. I even tried some of the other high end brands such as the Life Fitness? and another one I can't recall the name, but I guess I'm so used to the feel of the Precor. My questions are does anyone own one and are you happy with it? Does that price seem reasonable? I like the fact that it is a local fitness equipment company, has been in business for 25 years, and if I ever need service they are an authorized dealer. Thanks for your help.
