Lightbulb Simple Question

Im 6 foot tall and 195lbs. Not in the best shape, but not in the worst. I've been working out for 2 weeks now and lost 5 lbs. My goal is to be at around 180 and a lower body %.

I dont know my current body fat %, but i will in 3 days.

My question is, since muscle is heavier than fat. I am doing cardio and lifting and situps.

But if i keep lifting, will i gain weight? I dont want to gain more weight than i currently am (195). I want to lose about 15lbs., but gain muscle. Or can i keep lifting and doing cardio. I also began eating a lot healthier. My major goal is to be able to take my shirt of in public, i have a small gut and some love handles, which i hate. My upper body (chest ,arms and shoulders) have muscle but some falb over them , not too much. Basically with a shirt on , i look healthy , but when i take my shirt off im pudgy.

if you keep lifting you will gain weight, but in the long run that added weight will burn more fat than you can imagine. Keep at the routine. Eat right, lift weights, do cardio and i would recommend doing ab workouts ect. and in no time you will notice that your work is paying off
