Working out at home

hi everybody,

this is more of a general workout question , however i dont have the $$ to do anything in a gym or get a personal trainer or anything like that so i figured i would plonk it in this forum !!

i want to start building up (mainly my upper body) , im 22 male. At the moment i am pretty skinny, however i eat a ****load of food, definatly have a lightning fast metabolism, as i could eat 10kg's of pure fat a day and not put one ounce of weight on, wierd. Anyway, i was looking for some advice about the type of diet or should be going for , or if there is anything i could add to my diet to help if i start doign weights or something.

Which brings me to my next question about the best way to build up my upper body at home considering i dont have access to a whole heap of equipment, however i do work in a sport store so can get my hands on anything fairly cheap, what kind of exercises would be the way to go , eg: free weights or invest in a weight bench or something, how often i should workout and thigns like that.

any advice would be much appreciated :P :P

cheers :P
