This happens mostly when I'm working out, doing either fast walking or running.
It occurs at the end of each stride, when my foot is far behind me and I push off the ground and readjust the angle of my foot to the ground as it lifts into the air; my ankle then cracks, like the noise of cracking your knuckles.
It will happen with each stride until I don't notice it anymore or it goes away. It happens to either ankle. I think it cracks as I'm pushing off the ground, but it might happen rather when I readjust my foot to being ready for my next step (either way it occurs at the end of each stride).
It's not painful at all, but I can't imagine it's healthy.
unless you feel pain when they crack, Its just gas being expelled when your joints move apart. IF it hurts then you need a few scans to assess what damage is there.
You must have sprained it many times before right? Haha...that's one of the common causal factors. Yes they could be a little loose, but no worries. It's perfectly fine like what (Silent) mentioned. Cheers and continue exercising! Great work!
