everybody has their own music preference...
i for instance enjoy the genre progressive rock when doing
HIIT.
It's a rock genre redefined with classical influences (meaning, more complex song structures, often longer pieces).
It's not really to get motivated though, it's more to enjoy the good feeling afterwards. I find music a lot more enjoyable during or after my sport.
Yesterday i did some custom
HIIT by running on a hill (got 3 ways to do the hill, straight, zig zag or using stairs). I never done the hill straight so i did for the first time. I didn't ever feel so tired as i did then, running up 3 times. My heartrate got upto 188 (i'm 20, i don't know if that's average for
hiit or under the average), and after the third time i had to lie down for a minute. When i descended the hill i could barely keep myself from crashing to the ground (cuz my legs were really tired). Most effective mode of training i done so far doing
HIIT. Cause i can't seem to get good results doing sprints on the ground.
The music i listened to walking back home sounded so much better though.
The CD I listened to in that session was this one:
KINGSTON WALL Kingston Wall 2 reviews and MP3
Psychedelic type of progressive rock with some kick ass druming and great guitar solos. Only 2 bad songs on the whole CD.
At times i also enjoy some genesis music ... (tracks: Firth of Fifth, The Cinema Show, ... ) but that's not really when doing
HIIT but other types of training.
GENESIS Selling England By The Pound reviews and MP3
Needs some listening to get into it though.
But as I said before, everybody has their own preference.
