It's only a semi-random number, but I was mulling it over earlier and I've decided I will give it two months, and if the results are as unimpressive as last time, I'm going to do what I know works for me (see: lots and lots of fasted cardio and hardly any eating), then go on a bulk later. While gaining strength and losing small amounts of fat is lovely, I have a weight and a date that I know (from past results) is doable, and I'm not going to screw around with what is generally ideal instead of doing what I know will work. What I'm talking about is dropping the weight training if necessary, because at that point it will have become obvious that it is somehow preventing me from losing as much weight/fat as I desire to. I'm probably just being a crazy person, but oh well. I find it comforting to have an explicit threshold.
Edit: Honestly, I'll take pretty much any excuse to try the keto thing. It looks delicious. Been wanting to try it for ages.
Edit: Oh, also, re: the posture thing. Apparently, despite what I had been thinking, I don't seem to have the turtle neck. According to Leigh's criteria, anyway. Had the roomie take a photo, and the lines are almost an exact match. That's pretty cool. But, I still think I've got a bit of a hunch going on. Though my arms hang at the sides, not the front. Maybe I'm a bit of a fitness hypochondriac lol.
I do notice that after a couple weeks of weight training I slump a lot less when sitting. I should really go and get a couple of physio balls (for sitting on) before the end of the week. I quite enjoyed that back in the day.

180 mins of stationary cycling, 53 miles, ~2112 cals
Yeah, uhm. About that. I just... I feel good. Great, actually. I have tons of gas left in the tank. I dunno. This sudden change from no nutrition and no exercise to excellent nutrition and plenty of exercise, it's giving me a lot of energy. Nothing like last time at all. I'm not sure if this is a difference in attitude, or approach, or maybe a little of each... but, I feel good.
Didn't even notice the time passing; This was so enjoyable. I -- had written "want to", but -- am going to do it every day. I feel like something inside that's still 10 years old and infused with a fierce love of movement, it just finished waking up, and it's smiling at me, and I'm smiling back. It's very surreal.
Is this what they call a runner's high? ****. I've been missin' out.

Reason: Workout description was nonspecific... Did I mention at all that I tend to be anal about diction?

209.6 this morning. I'm sure you can guess how that happened. ^_^ This means I'm right back on target.
Still feeling pretty fantastic. Underslept a little.

Sounds more like Opium to me
I like your colour coding system when logging your lifts BTW, I think it give a nice little incentive when you're in the gym to keep adding just a tiny bit more everytime so you don't get any nasty red numbers

Well, you know. A little hashish, a little opium, some creatine... makes for a nice PWO brownie. Endorphins are good for you, rite?

That is exactly the point. I'll be in there in a little bit, and I'll be telling myself, "No, damn you. YOU LIFT THAT MOTHER****IN' WEIGHT. You're in the red zone. Lift it, you *****! Red is for failure." A green number in my weight training log, it's just like those little gold stars we used to get in kindergarten. Except without all the cursing.

Reason: Hmm. The curse filter didn't catch everything I thought it would.

In the words of Kermit the frog, “It ain’t easy being green.” Hahahahaha. Straight across the board. Look at that RDL/CG Bench pair. Dang. Time’s still a bit high, but I’d estimate nearly 10 mins to have been form checking, again. Benching with my elbows tucked seems twice as hard as with them flared, but I still managed to grind out a couple extra reps. Almost got a third, but gave up after a good 12 seconds of struggling to lock out. Rolling out from under a bar isn’t very dignified, though. I totally expected to take a strength hit from all that cycling yesterday, but nope. Very encouraging.
In conclusion,
Quote:
It's not that easy bein' green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold-
or something much more colorful like that.
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why? Wonder,
I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.

And I forgot to add that anyone's welcome to steal any of my formatting whatevers. There's no need to be polite about it. I mean I'll do it to you without even asking. I mention this because of g8's comment earlier. I've been asked in the past. I like the color coded numbering. Also, some of you might notice my posts now start with a numerical date, for indexing purposes. I also keep hard copies of everything I put up. Can't overanalyze the **** out of things without data.

Hmm. I want to hop on the bike for an hour or two, but if I do, my calorie bank balance will be even more messed up. There's no way I can get more than 400 or so more calories in today.
I'm fairly certain that average numbers were serious overestimations of my calorie needs in the past, though... and, well, I'm bored. Wanna watch Super Troopers and git my laugh on. Yeah, whatever. I don't think I'll be complaining when I have that "I'm losing weight too fast problem" going. I'll just restrain myself a little if necessary.
... To the people reading, sorry for constantly inflicting my inner monologue on you, but it really is important to me to keep track of this sort of thing. I'm more honest when I write it down (I wear my game face the rest of the time), and it'll be helpful to know what went wrong psychologically, should it ever come down to it. Not that I think it will, at all.

90 mins stationary cycling, 26.5 miles, 1073 calories - updated today's training post to reflect this.
Didn't spend as long on the bike as I expected to, but then again I wasn't actually supposed to do any at all. The girlfriend came over and I got distracted. I am way luckier than any human being has a right to be.

So, I dunno if I mentioned this earlier, but yesterday I finally threw out that nasty ****in' 100 mg/5ml unflavored chlorophyll solution, then had the roomie get me the 50mg/15 ml mint stuff. Suddenly I no longer dread waking up. Feel free to make fun of me if you must, but unless you've ever tried the former, you have no right. And if you have, and it didn't make you gag, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU.
Anyway, doin' good, y'know. Just... solid. Think I'll hit the bike early today. 'Taint **** all to do around heeahh anyway.

Hey, this is your journal and you can inner monologue the balls out of it. At least that's my credo.
