Darren's Journey

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I have been dieting since last month.

My name is Darren, I'm 26 yrs, 5'6" or 172cm.

When I started dieting I was at 185 pounds and I have never checked my weight after that. I took pictures of myself every Thursday for four weeks now. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or wrong so I decided to make my own thread to get some advice from you experts.

My first 1~3 weeks Monday through Satuday routine (Eat normal on Sunday)

Non-Fat milk with Kellog K cereal for Breakfast

Chicken Breast Steak(Ralph's) cooked with George Forman grill, Mixed salads, Baby tomatoes, Non-Fat milk, Fruits for Lunch and Dinner.

Also, 1.5 liters of water, Iced Grande Americano twice a week. Greentea.

From 4th week, I started to do cardio with little bit of weight lifting at home, mainly focused on Bench Press and dumbells to work on my arms. Haven't worked on my lower body.
For cardio, I do fast walking for 15 mins, Running for 15 mins, and Jumplope for 10 mins in the morning, and just fast-walking and running combined 40 mins in evening. Also doing sit-ups on Swiss ball, probably 200 a day.
Oh and also taking Syntrax Nectar Protein drink every morning, after work out and before I go to sleep. Also started to take Multi-Vitamins one pill a day before I go to sleep.

Question about Nectar though, it is better to drink after cardio, I read somewhere on this forum, after doing cardio it is better to take some protein to keep away from loosing my muscle?

During this four weeks period, I did eat Outback Speical 9oz cut with steamd vege(only 1 time), 20 slices of shabu-shabu without rice(only 1 time), Subway Grill Chicken Breast sandwich with wheat bread and only lettuce, tomatoes and pickle with diet coke.(Three times)

Please let me know if I am doing ok, right, wrong. And sorry if the grammar is bad since English isn't my first language...

I will attach some progress pics.

Start point

Week One

Week Two

Week Three

Week Four (Took this yesterday)

Week Five

Week Six

Week Seven

Any comments please. Thank you!

Thanks Chillen, I see that you help others with great knowledge you have, If there's anything you want to correct me please do so! Thanks again and nice to meet you!

Just got back from walking/running and jump-rope...man I swear jump-rope is killing me!!! I can power-walk for 15 mins no problem, Run for 15 mins no problem but Jump-rope! It's even hard to do 5 min straight! so I just did 200...3 sets....my legs are gone haha WEAK!!! maybe I'm doing it too fast that makes me tired....Nectar Protein after cardio is DELICIOUS!!!

About my weight, I don't know, and I don't want to know at this point
I just want to see myself in the mirror one day if I like what I see, then I will weigh myself to see how much difference I made. Time to Sleep!!

Thanks!

Today was somewhat bad day...

I did all my Monday routine, Morning Run/power walk 40 min.

Afternoon Full-Body workout 30~40min and cardio 40 min...
I didn't lift too heavy, mostly 12/3sets and didn't rest after each sets and kept worked on my full body for 30~40 min.

But...here comes the disaster...one of my real close friend visited me from Utah without telling me! It was surprise visit...we have been friend since elementary...he wanted to go out for a dinner since he drove 10+ hours from Utah, I just couldn't say "No, I have to eat Chicken Breast!!" so we went out to Kabuki...Japanese restaruant....2/3 bottle of large asahi, 4 Cold Tofu, 1 King crab sushi(1/2 rice), 1 halibut sushi(1/2rice), 1 uni sushi(1/2rice), 1 yellowtail sushi, 1 toro sushi, 2 sweet shrimp sushi, Spicy Tune tartare appetizer(about 1/3 of it), and diet coke....I thought to myself...this isn't good...but at least my buddy enjoyed it.

For reals!????? I thought I was 5'6"!!! I mean that's not going to change anything but still!! 5'8" yoohoo!!!

Chillen,

I think I'm doing good as planned. I finally weighed myself after a month.
I dropped 20 lbs in 5 weeks and probably some muscle gain as well.
I'm now at 165lbs, shooting for 155lbs before first week of Nov. I can see my abs better now which is good. I hope to see more clearly after I loose 10lbs more. I will update!!!

Man I've been so lazy to post on this board...
I'm coming into my 13~14th week now, and have met my goal of becoming 147 pounder. I work harder than ever but I have been eating some bad foods since my parents came and my mom is keep feeding me RICE!! L0L
Anyways, they are back to Korea now and I'm more focused than ever, hit the gym last night and I feel sore.
Here's little contribute to myself for shaving off 40 pounds!! with right eating and right exsercise! Don't starve!!!
