Cool Going Hardcore

Okay Im new to these forums. Ive looked around a bit though and it seems to be a nice community I like it.

Im 15 Im about 5'9"-10" and I way 160-165 (varies daily)

Im a former athlete I was in athletics for 3 years. Good football player.
Im not in athletics anymore but Im using what Ive learned to train myself.
I just Really started training myself hard this last week and I can already feel it.
I have Very little fat anywhere on my body except my stomach and a little under my nipples lol.
this is what Im trying to work off.

Im placing myself on a limited calorie diet 1000-1500
only eating nutritous food and Im using vitamins to help get in other nutrients that I may not get.

I eat small breakfast (apple)
lunch ( salad-no dressing
dinner ( turkey sandwich)
and a couple of these days ive eaten an orange just because I felt I needed it.

My workouts not TOO hard right now.
I am working though Im running around 4-5 mi. I dont know I cant accurately
measure because I go through trails and such.
I do at least 100 push ups
and at least 100 crunches a day
usually I do more but so far 100 has been minimum.

Some of my friends say that this may be too rigorous but I think I can handle the restrictions. I plan to keep my diet the same throughout my training get my Miles ran to about 10-11 and get the pushups and situps a day to at least 300 each.

yesterday I took a break because It was a good week and I was sore and I felt I deserved it. Today I had absolutely NO time to do anything but pushups and situps I plan to get up very early and run then later in the day run as I normally would again.

Ill keep you updated opinions accepted.
I know Doing to much and not eating enough may force me into starvation mode and I may lose muscle or whatever but I dont care Im going to see what happens first.

You're doing this all wrong. You don't need to be in starvation mode. You need to be in a caloric deficit. Being in starvation mode will tend to do the opposite of what you're looking for--store fat.

You need to calculate your BMR by googling "calculating BMR". Then go to TESTOSTERONE NATION and search "carb cycling codex". then go to FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and use their system to track calories.

You're doing nothing for your lower back, you're doing nothing to strengthen your legs, and you're doing nothing to strengthen your upper back. You don't want to lose muscle, as the more muscle you have, the more kcals you burn in a day.

Your diet plan is horrible. You should have a protien source at every meal.
Ex:
Breakfast-3 eggs, 1 piece of fruit
lunch-can of tuna, 2 servings of green fibrous vegetables (spinach, broccoli, etc), 2 ounces fish oil, 2 ounces pumpkin seeds
dinner-12 ounces lean steak, 2 servings of vegetables, 2 ounces fish oil
Before bed-1 cup cottage cheese

I would find a place to put a snack in there.

I agree with evo, not enough food. And even if you want to eat that little, your protein/fat/carb ratios are horrible. Follow what evo said with another high protein snack. And if you don't have access to weights, get an indoor pull up bar to do pull ups and rows. Also something heavy to do pistols and lunges with.

Im trying to recreate what it would be like centuries ago when we were hunter gatherers.
I don't think they got 5 meals a day with a protein source and fiber at each one.
They starved and when hunting was good they ate.
Over the years humans have weakened themselves. we used to run and walk miles day after day usually with no nutrients at all. Now we sit around -I for one at least half of the day at school and then at night I sleep- so Im looking at MAYBE a quarter of the day training.

I completely understand what you guys are saying though and Ive heard it many times before this is just my theory.

Secondly, I don't have the parents that give a crap about just me. I live in a big family they buy whats fast and convenient and not whats healthy.
and the way I look at it.. is If I have nothing healthy to eat I shouldn't eat at all.

And I do not have weights or any lifting equipment at all. I rely on calisthenics only. If I find a good tree Ill climb it If i find a good bar Ill do some chin ups on it but thats about it... and thats about all I can do until Im out of the house and can control the food I but and I can have my own schedule and not have to keep up with chores/school/siblings.

I know how I'm going about this seems wrong but Im going to try it, If only for a month. I will get some type of results though whether that be weight gain or loss. We will find out.

Then you have about 5 more years to live. Average life span for early man was about 20!

Sure they did. Early man ate a lot of insects (termites and larvae mainly) which gave him a lot of protein and fiber (chitin, not cellulose).

Agreed

Agreed again.

This is sad.

Have you talked to them about this?

"Nothing healthy to eat"? Aren't you being a little melodramatic, not to mention a little exagerating?

There are lots of exercises using body weight that don't require much if any equipment.

Keep us updated on the progress, your methods sound unconventional, but I would like to see whatever progress you make from it.

So...what did you do today? How much did you climb, how far did you run/walk, etc?

I ran only a few miles today.. Just 3
And I did little strength training 50 pushups 100 crunches
Grand Parents came over little sister in a play
Not alot of time for much I plan to make up for it tomarrow.

Food wise it was a healthy lunch that was a turkey sandwich with a small side salad and an apple
Dinner I had like a taco salad thing.. Which was probably kind of "impure" I like to keep things simple If I lived in a perfect world Id eat like just bread and lettuce and fruits. Just things by themselves. Not cooked and mixed together with greasy ground beef.
Had that taco salad been some lettuce leaves a tomato and like Cooked over a fire meat. It would have been perfect. Thats how I like to eat my food just natural and "pure".
I feel Good though. Ill weigh myself in the nurses office next monday.
And NO if there is nothing healthy to eat I will not eat it. But lately theres been apples and tuna.. and lean turkey meat. ya thats basically what Ive been eating at my house Some mornings Ill have a bowl of Kix..

I AM USING a multi once a day vitamin thing though. so Thats probably helping me a bit.

But seriously the first week I felt kind of like crap and I was sore and hungry But this week Ive felt Awesome I feel Alert and when I run I feel more agile I don't feel groggy and reluctant.

Im NOT seeing any immediate results so this is not an ultra awesome diet so I guess I wont be getting like a million dollars or anything for discovering an awesome new diet regimen and workout plan.

Ummm... Tips for running ive discovered
1) run at night
2) bring Ipod
3) Run buy a house that keeps there dogs loose.

When your just Going steady and running nice and that dog pops up right by you. You tend to get a nice little adrenaline boost.
At least for me. this method can be repeated multiple times if there is a lot of loose dogs in you neighborhood

Are you doing this for asthetic purposes, or do you plan to gause your progress with some performance standards?

If it's the former then it would be best to track progress with pictures. The camera doesn't lie, if you keep the lighting and angles the same for all progress pics.

If it's the latter you ought to outline some standards that you want to meet. Even if you just do it for yourself. But since you have a log you might as well post them here.
