| | | wow..i got busy there for a week. But that's no excuse. I keep making excuses. Tonight I sat down and made my workout plan for the week. Let's hope that I can stick to it this time. i also talked to some people about eating, and they gave me this tip. "eat breakfest like a queen. eat lunch like a princess. eat dinner like a slave." So, I think I'll try that for this week, and see how it works out. I went to costco today and bought a whole bag of unbreaded, unskinned chicken breasts, so i have a feeling i'll be eating a lot of those. and i got some whole weat bagels, along with some frusion smoothies. I'll be checking in daily. |

| | Boiled chicken breasts, brown rice cooked in nonfat chicken broth and blanched/steamed veggies is a very good meal. |

| | | NO!!!!!! dont go back 2 bulimia.
once u start that it'l be even harder to stop.
i have suffered from binge eating disorder and periods of bulimia for years and years and i know that once it starts its a cycle which is very very hard to stop.
its been a while now since bulimia has effected me but sometimes i do go on a mad binge (havent even done that for a while now though) but now i jsut exercise to compensate rather then do u know what.
maybe you should write out a plan and get all your food in for a week so then u will know exactly what u r having and wont need to make any last minute unhealthy purchases when u r hungry. i found this really really helps with me.
hope u get where u wanna get.

| | | ^ I second that.. do not go back to bulimia.. it will do nothing but cause you to cycle more and more.
I have read in studies that people who are recovering from bulimia will actually end up weighing less by the end of their recovery than the weight that they started recovery at.
I sincerely hope that you will reconsider going back to purging.
I have also suffered with eating disorders (however not throwing up my food.. but purging through exercise, as well as ed-nos and anorexia). I know exactly what you are going through, this can be such a painful and frustrating process to try to get your eating back on track. With hard work I can definitely tell you that it is possible to do this.
Ok, before I sound like im preaching too much.. let me know if you ever want to talk. |

| | | You're also 2 seconds away from the healthy lifestyle you want. It won't be easy, but you can do it. One way to start is making the dinner I have listed there. If you can boil water you're set...
Add 1 can fat free low salt chicken broth to half cup of brown rice. Put on burner at LOW-MEDIUM heat (a little closer to medium). When broth starts bubbling reduce heat to LOW and let simmer for 30 minutes or until the smoke alarm goes off. Add water to a pot that's large enough to comfortably fit the chicken breast. Bring to boil, and add the breast - should take about 15 minutes to cook (more or less depending on size). In a third pot, add water, and bring to boil. Put in your veggies after the water's started boiling and let them cook for about 5 minutes (more if you want the them softer). If you time it right you can pull out everything from each pot at the same time and have a wonderful guilt-free healthy meal. |

| | Thanks guys
I'm gonna do it. Bulimia is stupid..I definitely don't want to go back down that road.
I have My dad picking up healthy foods for me on his way home from the VA.
and I also went out an bought a whole bag of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and some frusion smoothies.
I know I can do it, and I'm going to.
I'm just going to need a lot of encouragement.
I hate hate hate cardio. IT makes it even more difficult since I have asthma. sometimes i go out to run, and i feel like i'm having a heart attack b/c I cant breathe.
thanks for the meal tips. and the encouragement. I think it might have saved me from rehab again. |

| | | I'm so glad that we could help.
I've been recovering for over two years now and it is so hard, but worth it.
Cardio is hard to do espec' if you have asthma, maybe you could consider just going for walks every morning or night.. that will even make a difference. Take your mp3 player/ipod and just use it for some time for yourself to not only get some exercise in but also do some thinking and positive reinforcement to help you continue through this. |
