| | | My P90X Journal. Yep! I'm taking the challenge. I'm going to see how well it really works on "bigger" people.
My last update here> http://training.fitness.com/photo-ga...now-37066.html
I've put on a little weight since then (weighed in at 255 yesterday), but I just have been dead from work all summer. (I do landscaping, hours go from 7am-630-7pm daily)
Now that things are slowing down a little, and hours are getting cut back, i'm not getting the workout that i need at work, i can tell i'm gaining weight. So I figured i'd give P90x a shot.
I don't expect to have a 6-pack in 3 months, not by any means. But I want to see how well this will work for bigger people, because on the infomercials most of the people are in "decent" shape.
My plans are to follow the p09x workout routine, but on the "rest" days, i was thinking of working HIIT into it. I also plan on re-evaluating my diet, and adjusting accordingly.
I'm planning on starting this next week due to the fact that I haven't gotten it in the mail yet lol.
Anybody have any predictions? |

| | I'm gonna try and do hiit. Its in my current workout routine, and I LOVE IT. I just don't know how intense these workouts are gonna be. I've done plyometrics and thats a hella good workout. As the saying goes "No Pain, No Gain".
Got it in the mail today! I'm super excited to start it. Can't wait to start it tomorrow. I'll also post up my measurements so its easier to follow/see actual results. |

| | Glad to see you are going to take on P90x. I think you will do great and enjoy the next 90 days. You'll come out quite pleased with your results.
I've finished two rounds of P90x now and the results are amazing. I was surprised actually, becuase I woudln't of thought it could happen. . I wish you luck on your round. Just stick with the routine and you will go far.
One of the hardest parts I found was the food. But if you follow the guide relatviely close you will be happy. Ultimately you are going to get out of it what you put into it. Just like anything in life.
When you finish up with that round of P90x you just might be ready to take on a round of Insanity. hehe. Now that is some crazy stuff.
Anyways, have fun and look forward to reading about your results. I keep track of mine at my website, which is KevinPriceDotCom | Sharing some of my life with you. Fitness, family all rolled up in one. Are you living healthy?[/url]. I think it helps to keep you focused and motivated journaling your results becuase you are more involved rather than just doing the workout.
If interested in chatting about it, drop me a note. Always glad to discuss P90X.

| | | The little I know of P90X, it looks like it should work. Diet is going to be important though. No workout will get you lean if you're eating too much, so make sure that's dialed in.
Keep us posted. And don't overdo it...the workouts look pretty rough...you might need a real day of rest (or at least a day of low-impact 'fun' cardio like playing tennis or something) |

| | yeah totally agree about the rest. It is pretty intense overall for the 6 days a week the program requires/asks for. I would often substitute the cardio days for other items where needed. biking, swimming, etc. Just makes sense to mix things up. The whole idea of the program as a whole.
The one I'm doing now, Insanity, you HAVE to take that day of rest. As hard as your going for the 6 days, you could easily over do it!
Will keep you posted. |

| | Hey.
Things are going well so far. I am actually not doing a round of P90x at the moment, but their other new routine. But it is going very well. Different structure than P90x, all cardio based and using only your body weight for any type of 'resistance' work. Ideal is to trim away the fat. It's been crazy thought, but fun none the less!
How goes your p90x so far? waht day you on? Hopefully you got it by now.
make sure you are tracking things, pictures, and for each workout the #'s. REally is a nice motivator to see the progress. In 30 days if things are going well you should see a change. Some people it does take a bit longer before everything starts kicking in.
