New Year, New Me (Not another New Year Resolution)

Well, I got my New Year, New Me off to a bang this morning. I woke up almost an hour late, did have anything prepped at home to eat for breakfast, so I had to settle for a supreme omelette with sausage and cheese on a wheat bagel and a medium coffee from DD. Anyone know the calorie count in one of those??? Yeah, it's disturbing, *link*. I got mine on a wheat bagel, so I'm probably saving 3 cals, LOL!!!

So, 530 Cals, and half of my total fat and sodium for one day and damn near ALL of my cholesterol (255 mg/86%) for the day!!! I'll be eating a bit less of these in the future. About 70 cals from the coffee for a total of 600 Cals for breakfast. Doesn't leave me with much options for lunch. Thankfully, my dinner is only about 460 Cals and I'm only gonna have a glass of water with that. That leaves me with 940 cals for the rest of the day to make an even 2K cal day. Now, I have said in the past I dispise counting, but I'm gonna give it another try. I know with the snacks and recipes I have now, I should be able to stay full all day on 2K or less. I wanna see what I really take in in a day.

It's a good thing I am going to the gym tonight! LOL!!!!

I've been doing FBWs since I started the gym, but I'm gonna up mine a little. I usually start with 20-30 mins of cardio than work from my feet to my head and leave. I'm going to up it to 45 mins cardio (if time allows) than my FBW:

Calf raises, Squats, hip ab/adduction, several different core exercises for abs and lower back, Bench, lats, traps, delts, bi/tris/forearms and (again, if time allows) a short walk on the treadmill, 15-20 mins.

I must say, I am really reluctant to eat this sammich now that I know how much $#!7 is in it.

Well, I've got to eat something this morning. Time for sort out what's for lunch.

Wow do the calories add up quickly. This is why I don't count them. You fill out your 2K in no time and than are left hungry for the rest of the day. I'm at 910 after my aforementioned breakfast plus 1/2 wheat bagel with 3/4 oz PB and ONE white chocolate covered cashew cluster (130 cals). I treated myself even knowing how big it was, but DAMN. I've got about 7 hours before I go to the gym and roughly 9 before I got to bed and my max for the next 9 hours is 1090 cals? My dinner is about 460 so that drops me to 630 and I have nothing packed for lunch. I'm probably gonna have to get a chix cheese steak for the cafe here, if they didn't jack up the prices too high on me. I won't be able to count the cals on that tho. Damn it. I gotta get to the store and buy real food and start brown baggin it again!

yeah...grocery store would be a good option.
It's amazing how many calories are crammed into the smallest freakin sandwich.
Good luck, and have fun at the gym.

Well, I managed to stay under 2K cals before going to the gym. After I got home, I was a bit hungry. I don't know an exact number, but my estimate is about 2400 cals yesterday. Fortunately, I get paid tomorrow, I'm ashamed to say, I only have $25 in the bank. Got too caught up in Christmas shopping and forgot about groceries.

I'll be heading to Costco, that's for sure!!! LOL!!!

Skipping the gym tonight and doing solely cardio tomorrow. I managed to get my sorry behind out of bed at 6:15 this morning. Now, I've got to make it 15 minutes eariler so I can cook up some eggs or something. All in all, progress is had.

Time for breakfast. Oatmeal and a second cup of coffee. I'm not gonna count calories today, but I'm gonna be more aware of the amount I am taking in after yesterdays experiment. Fun, fun, fun!!!
