Performance -Not Enough!

OK, so I have performance, endurance, and strength. I am an extreme athlete. I like to do things like run a mile on a freeway rail. It works the legs, the abs, the lungs, the BRAIN and the nerves.... and will make a guy get spiritual. Parkour has been a thing for me. I am a skydiver, martial arts -TKD student, and I just flat liek to sweat and do stuff.

Tonight I will swim 2 miles open water. Yesterday I ran 3 miles, jumped rope and just tortured myself with things like balancing handstand press-ups, pushups and crunches and all that.

When it comes to "STEP UP and PERFORM" I got that. BUT- with all of the sweating and working out I do. I've decided that at age 39 I want to develop a bit of vanity, to go along with my ego-- and well, look great too.

So, I will attach some pictures of what I have to start. And leave it to all of you guys to help me if you will. I have been reading and pitching in a bit here and there, and I wanna play too.

BEGINNING STATS :05/23/2007 (and i have no idea what i'm doing)
HT- 5'10"
WT-205.5

Forearm 12.5"
Bicept 14.5" flexed 16"
Chest 45" Around the shoulders 49.5" Neck 16.5"
Belly 41"
Waiste 35"
Hips 41.5"
Thigh 23.5"
Calve 17.5" (right is an inch bigger than left?)
Head 175" around

i have no diet and nutrition plan, well except for eat what I "think" is good... i will start tracking tomorrow.

I workout daily in some manner.

I came here for help, accountability, and to progress.

Thumbs up

Dude-- you need some serious help! You've totally let yourself go man--

Really though-- I'm now inspired to jump on the band wagon too. I'll get the wife to take the before shots and officially start the diary Monday or Tuesday.

Bicept should be 14.5 and 16,, that was cool, I figured the forearm was wrong. OH CRUD! and ther calve should be 17.5. DAMMMMIIIT ALL!! I'm sorry bro, and you took the time, crap. I will double check them all this evening. This paper ruler I just made is no bueno! HOW DANG COOL is that,,,, you actually read the stats. Help me come up and I promise I will pay attention to others in the future. rep coming bro!

OK-
I am trying to lose surface fat. I am also running, and swimming, and biking, distance. usually an hour to an hour and a half-- sometimes longer.

then I come home and do pushups and crunches and, and, and, and....

My endurance gets better in any particular discipline when i focus on it, but I also seem to stay or gain weight.

I have not used any weights in training, just my own body weight.

I eat clean (kinda), but no real plan.

Today: 05/25/2007
3 cups of coffee black
yogurt low fat
1 banana
40 raw almonds

a chunk of bread pudding with syrup

lunch
spinach calzone
pasta salad
brownie -(big one)
root beer soda

twix candy bar
wasabi peas (crud man- it's embarrassing, having read Stroutman's note below- I can already feel tension to change)
Redbull Sugar Free

Chicken Quesadilla
guacamola
green tea
thin slice chocolate cake

I suggest you start using something like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal to track your nutrition. Get an idea of where you are currently at with this regards.

If you are looking to lean down a bit... which I would if I were in your shoes....you would look great with about 10 lbs of fat off ya..... its going to be mainly about diet.

But starting to lift weights wouldn't hurt you either.

Ha, that thing about your head being 175 around really made me laugh. Reminds me of what my mum said when lady in shop was taking measurments of me.

Stroutman-- know this isn't my journal (but FF won't mind). Thanks for the link to FitDay. I set up an account and am not sure, but think I may be cutting a bit too far back and not getting the calories needed to support the workout.

I'll post the link when I set up the journal just for grins- and for anyone who has suggestions for improving.

ETQ Effer--
