| | | For me, a martial arts class is about martial arts, not fitness for strength training. Therefore there is no need to take any supiements for the class.
However if you do lots of physical activity then its up to you. |

| | | I'll just stick to what I'm doing cuz its working fine. although I wont be able to train for 10 days starting the 2nd of March cuz I'll be in Ireland until the 13th knowing me I'll need the relaxation and vacation cuz I do to much anyway. Now here comes the hard part that I'm concerned about more then anything is my parents cuz they don't eat like I do and what not so It'll be hard to keep my nutrition up over there. I'm such ahealth freak and I don't care my dad is jerk cuz he thinks I'm weird becaue I don't eat like him and the rest of the family kinda foolish for me o talk about it huh |

| | | Stick to your guns. If I ate like my Dad eats, I'd be on my second heart attack by now. He thinks I'm a freak because I don't spend my life with a bag of Lays on my lap. |

| | | Glutamine as a supplement is totally worthless.
Let's look at where most of the glutamine sales pitches start out:
"glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid…it makes up 2/3 of the muscle's free amino acid pool"
Sounds cool, right? But wait, what is 'free amino acid pool'?
Answer: It's a negligible portion of a muscle's total amino acid content. It just sounds cool.
What about the first part?
Answer: Glutamine is so abundant that you already get enough, unless you're a vegetarian or have some serious health problem. If you eat a high protein diet, then you already get more than you need.
Wait, but doesn't glutamine prevent muscle catabolism if i take it at certain times?
Answer: Maybe, but if it does it is so slight that it still hasn't been proven. Even if it does, you could get the effect to a much greater extent simply by drinking a glass of milk. (Or anything else with a good combination protein and fat.) |

| | | I do train alot in kenpo and in the weight room and also I tend to be walking alot into the city and all around so I think I would need it. and I have been told that I shouldnt take it unless I'm really sore and I feel it works. On my day of rest I just chill for one day and then the next day I'm back to work. |

| | | 99% of glutamine is absorbed into the gut and never makes it to the muscles. Glutamine is good if you have ulcers, digestion problems, or are (and this is even a possible) getting sick. |
