Look at the stickies, they are helpful. Krav Maga, the Israeli special forces martial art, is quite practical although I don't know many places that teach it.
Oh no not again .... Martial Arts is probably not for you. (I know some will disagree with me for saying this).
Hopefully everyone will agree with you. That being said, there's a really cool art called GunFuDo that is used successfully to kill thousands worldwide daily.
Dude can I totally learn how to kill someone with my pinky toe? Ya know though if I had to use it in self defense bro. That would be ssssswwwweeeeettttt.
I have trained in krav maga for a little bit, not much but i learned some pretty brutal stuff. it's not like one strike and boom they're dead. It's kinda like... avoid getting stabbed... then grab a chair and mash his head in. the only thing i really found anything useful in krav maga was the blocking techniques.
In my experience, those who want to learn martial arts with the intention to do serious harm to others are usually bullied in school or in other areas.
My recommendation is to stand up to those who trouble you. Perhaps a question of why. If you exhausted all other methods, then perhaps it is time for physical confrontation. Usually, it doesn't matter who wins since in the end, both side can agree that physical combat is not required any further. Who knows, you might even get a friend out of it. Sometimes, people pick on small people or those who seem weak. By asking questions, you fought back verbally. By acting physically, you showed strength. Both of which are traits not bullied on.
Of course, there is a limit. I'm not saying go nuts and start beating up people. What I am saying is that everyone faces a challenge one day, and depending on how you react, you will never lose even though you might "lose" the fight.

Has anyone else trained krav maga?
Yeah I trained in Krav Maga for about 2 1/2 years. Definently good cardio, I liked the punch combos myself. Now I'm an orange belt in a MMA Named Kajukenbo out of hawaii. Kajukenbo stands for KA-Karate JU-Judo & Ju Jitsu Ken-Kenpo (art of stick fighting and disarming) BO- Chinese Boxing aka Kung Fu and American Boxing. Give it a try and see how it feels.
