Sorry Tony, I posted current pics, then deleted them so I could shrink them and then reposted them. All set now.

Thanks Derwyddon!

Dude, this is awesome. Props to both Drex and Sara.

On the side of further improvements, though, Drex, it looks like your posture is a little off. However, I'm sure a lot of the effect is from your huge traps.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, as Derwyddon stated, I am going to be starting a cut tomorrow, Jan 28. Derwyddon is writing me up some good routines to keep as much muscle as possible while I continue to train for the marathon in June. I hope to be at least down to 10% body fat and as lean as possible for the marathon. Once there marathon is done I'm going to focus on adding muscle.

10% by June? That will be easy, you can get to 10% in a couple months IMO.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your routine for keeping muscle... and some pics when your all cut up!

Good job man..

Can you tell me a bit more about the marathon?

Thanks Chillen!

Realworksuks, the marathon I will be running is called Grandma's Marathon. It is in Duluth, Minnesota on June 21st. It runs along Lake Superior from Two Harbors to Duluth.

My dad is coming out of retirement to run in it with me. He has run 7 marathons and I think he has run this one 4 times. It's been 15 years since his last marathon. All of his marathons have been sub 3:30 and he says he doesn't plan to change that now. His best time being about 3:02.

My original plan was to run this in under 4 hours. Where I am now, I don't plan to go over 3:45 and if training continues to progress the way it has been, I may plan on trying for a sub 3:30.

A few weeks ago my wife decided she was going to give it a go too, so now she is training for it as well.

Barring a forward head and kyphosis you've done well. I take it you get chronic neck pain and headaches?

No headache problems. I have had some neck problems in the past, but nothing in over a year. I realize my posture isn't good and I have been trying to focus on standing up straighter when I remember. I have had this problem all of my life and it isn't due to lifting. I think a lot of it comes from being tall and growning up working on a farm (age 12-20) with low ceilings where I contsantly had to be ducked down a little bit for clearance.
