| | You're doing great, aim for 1.2-1.7grams of protein per kilogram of body weight and continue bulking, the guys are right, you need to create first. Great progress so far! |

One thing, though. Are any of you supporters of doing a bulk with small cuts along the way. I thought this would be more efficient than suffering through 5 straight months of it? |

I have a friend who does this and never makes progress. As soon as his abs start to disappear, he freaks out and starts going into cutting. In the last 3 years, he's made very little progress. He wonders why the chicks don't dig him with his ripped abs. The girls tell him he looks skinny. |

The average everyone here says to bulk is another year. At this rate, thats 220lbs! |

| | | You won't continue putting on weight as quickly as you have been. After a while you'll be lucky to see 1-2 lbs every few weeks... You should definitely take the words "cut", "calorie deficit", and "six pack" out of your vocab for a while. I would suggest bulking until you're at least 185-190, maintain for a few weeks then do a short (4-6 weeks) cut. This way you can get a visual of your progress and decide where you want to go from there.
I'm still having a hard time seeing you at 170lbs at 5'10. Do you have monsterous legs or something?? |

| | | It's probably the long way of doing things. It is possible to bulk and not gain much fat at all though if that's important to you, you just need to be very careful with your diet and be prepared for muscle gains to be a bit slower |

I'm prepared to gain slowly and steadily.
Thanks for all the help |

| | | I'll try and dig out some articles tonight about gaining slower and keeping bodyfat down. It might be worth trying to get closer to your target of 200lbs first though. |

Thanks everybody! |

Oh, and yeah my legs are where I have made humongous gains. My calves and quads have doubled in size from where they started. (Thank you squats ) |

I think it jumped an inch before because of one "cheat week" I had previously with some serious overeating. I gained 5 lbs of fat lol.
Anyhow, hopefully I will be okay.
