Where you started and your goals are a lot like mine, I totally feel you about wanting to lose that last bit of belly fat, but still build muscle. I guess gaining a few during weight training is probably the better of the two. Just joined a gym myself so I'm looking forward to the results.
Thursday
Dead lift - 5x6
Split squat - 5x3 each leg
Bent row - 5x6
This was my first week doing the routine. But overall my weight hasn't changed at all although I am noticing minor changes. For instance I've never seen my veins in my life, but in the past month or so I've noticed during/after working out my arms are all spiderweb'd lol
But yeah, will post results after I do this routine for a while.
Still feel like I'm way too "flabby". Like loose skin. lmao.
In other news I started taking MMA classes. What a great workout that is. I thought it'd be a breeze, but you definitely use muscles that you don't normally use in the weight room. Always extremely sore after.

You're seeing things boy.. there isn't an ounce of flab on you.
I just read your story and you really are an inspiration to most. Great job!
hahaha. Wanted to get it done for a week, man'd up and did it today
But on a serious note, I've been doing good.
Lifts increased slightly. I never lifted a lot of weight, but currently I'm benching about 130, deadlifting 155, and squatting 185.
I've been basically just revolving everything around deadlifts, squats, and bench as I said earlier. Seems to be working out alright.
Been slackin on nutrition a lot. Have been real busy and have been eating a little candy, chips, or whatever while at work. Nothing more than a handfull, but still need to lay off it completely again.
Any workout routine tips are welcome and very appreciated
do something with your new life! find something to compete in, or something that will give your "great results" some meaning.
I amnot saying you don;t have meaning, I am just saying, when you make that great of a change, the mentality that comes along with it, makes you a great competitor.
I realized this morning it was a little past mid June, which is when I initially started this whole process last year. Figure'd I'd take a couple pics and post them up. Sort of a 1 year anniversary of living healthy.
If you had told me a year ago that this is what I'd look like 1 year later, I would have thought you were crazy.
