| | Good luck with your cutting and lowering your body fat down! You do have a great place to start.
Now torch the crap out of your good diet and torch the body fat percent down: |

| | | Thanks for the input guys. My diet now vs. two weeks ago is night and day, so hopefully it will be a great difference. I never used to be that careful about what I ate. Now it's lean meats, whole grains, veggies and fruits. I even gave up beer (I wasn't a heavy drinker, but a beer connoisseur, I had 1 or two a day). I've dropped a little already, but it was so fast it must have been water.
I have the ability to eat huge amounts of food and not gain much weight so I'll have to be careful not to get too skinny while I do this. |

| | | Gooch the best thing you can do for yourself is track your caloric content and limits along the way. This way you can make adjustments according to what your body is telling you in response. There are many ways to do this, but it could assist in not allowing yourself to get too skinny and set you at the setpoint of where you want to personally be. |

I've never counted calories before (you're talking to a guy who used to routinely eat 14 tacos in one sitting) so it will be so new to me. I've started writing down all my sets and reps for every exercise which I had never done before, so I guess I can get used to that too. |

My weight can fluctuate several pounds throughout the day, so I have been weighing myself first thing in the morning after my "morning constitutional"
I started at 208 two weeks ago today. I'm already down to 203.5, but again, I've never really eaten clean before, so I think I quickly got rid of some bloating in the first several days. I think I'm going to get a notebook today and start tracking my calories (anyone have some helpful hints for someone who has never done this?) I went to Wild Oats the other day and they had a fitness journal where you could plot your workouts and diet in one book. It was laid out really nicely, but I'm not sure it's worth $15. Do most of you just keep this info in a regular notebook?

| | I've actually been using FitDay to track calories/diet. It sort of tracks activity, but I'm not tracking the activity piece as closely. I'm trying to cut as well so I'm looking forward to your progress.
Here's what my FitDay looks like: FitDay.com - Diet and Fitness journal for drseuss67 |

| | | I started FitDay, but I'll have to add a bunch of items. A lot of stuff I eat isn't on there, or the numbers aren't what the package says (especially on my whole grain breads)
It's not yet 11:30 and I've already had 913 calories...and I'm losing weight LOL
...update....I customized the food items and make that 1090 calories

| | | I'm trying to find my appropriate caloric intake, since I understand that's most important. I'm eating clean, no junk food, no sweets. My only carbs are whole grains, fruits and vegetables. I'm getting over 300 grams of protein a day. I figured out out that too many nuts cause me digestive problems so I'm having some problems getting enough healthy fats, causing me to get more carbs than I want to meet caloric needs. Oh, well, I'll figure it out.
My wife was away on a business trip and when she got back said I already looked leaner. I'll weigh myself Monday. I started at 210, and must have lost a bunch of water weight at first. I went down to 203, then back up to 205 (Eating the same amount of calories)I guess I got rehydrated. So hopefully I'm about 204 this week |
