| | | Progress of Narb I know given my size in the first place, allot of people would suggest a bulk... i would, and did, agree with that untill i started reading the TNT diet...
My main goal isn't to get 'big and defined' -its a goal, but it isnt my main one... i just want to be lean, and have my abs on show over the summer... such a general and common goal i know, but thats how it is...
TNT enables me to lower my BF% while building muscle.. and while it may not be the quickest way of building, it is (in the case of me) a prefered way -because i can lose the flab and start to build some muscle size too...
the first pic was taken the end of Feb before i started TNT.. the second was just before the end of March...
Any comments welcomed (even if you're going to convince me to bulk! )
cheers,
narb. |

| | | No offense, but I think you look better in the first pic.
Don't make things so complicated. Lift heavy weights, eat a lot of good food, then cut back the calories once you've gained 15-25lbs or so. Don't make bulking and cutting harder than they need to be by doing both at once. |

How come you didnt post this to your journal?
The best thing you can do if you want a strong and defined ab core, is to structure a fitness routine around the premise of how the body is designed to function--this base will give the body a reason to support a muscular ab core, and if genetics are willing they will be clearly visible with appropriate support through a proper diet design (and I am considering your current physical status--at least from the pics).
You state an approximate 30 days between pics. During these 30 days, what fitness routine have you been---"faithfully"--following?
And, what type of diet have you been keeping (i.e. calories, fats, carbs, and protein?). Why the TNT approach and not a more "traditional" method?
Where do you train?
Open up a bit on your training routine. Personally, and I say this with much respect to my young friend, I do not see much improvement between the two pics (even if its only been 30 days), and if it were me I would be very unhappy, and would clearly think that something is broken and needs fixen.
In addition, I want to point out another important point. I sincerely believe that if one is currently wanting to train (or is training) and wanting to implement a change in diet (and is in the process of changing the thier diet structure), and giving time in these things, then the person should also set aside--a prescribed time to also obtain knowledge to assist and build upon their fitness and dieting structure. You have a wealth of (quality) information right at your finger tips, and with the correct perception of this information, one can design their own program (successfully). If you cannot afford a fitness trainer, then you have to be your own, and obtain the friggen tools to do it.
Best regards,
Chillen

| | | Some progress there mate props on working hard towards a goal but it does look like you have lost a bita muscle there, take chillens advice there he is a bit of a guru on the abs thing etc, looks like you could definately do a mass gain phase. |

| | thanks for the comments guys.. i appreciate the rapid response!
i was sort of expecting those comments.. i know i need to gain allot of mass and a bulk would be the best way to do so... but i'm happy to leave that goal untill the end of the year or maybe even next year... im not unrealistic with my goals.. i know these things take time and i have the patience to get it done..
personally im happy with how things are going... all i want is to lower my body fat for now which is so far going well... that last inch off the belly would be great in my mind... sure bigger biceps, chest and shoulders would be ideal, but i'm getting this done first, and i'll cross that bridge when i come to it...
tnt is an excellent diet, designed for all shapes and sizes... its a low carb diet at its core, but you eat carbs around your workout and at other times during the week depending on what plan your on... theres nothing complicated about it; it just means you can lose body fat while building muscle (albeit the muscle building is probably slower than when on a bulk)... there's no calorie counting so its basic and effective -which is what i like about it, because as i say, im not doing this to become a cover model or enter any comps, just wna look lean and healthy...
really appreciate what you guys have to say though and i have taken it on board, but maybe to look into after summer, as i definately dont want to go back to the first pic during that!
cheers all |

| | | my suggestion is to bulk up man. but if you want to get those abs, if you have em under there, then dont forget to lift heavy, and get ur macros in order, or u'll risk losing some of ur muscle and be left with a stick with skin. |
