Progress over the months (pics)
Hey guys, well I started to workout on the 12th of January 2009. I took two pictures that day which are shown below. I weighed in at 215lbs, and I am 5'11'' tall.
Thanks to wesrman and others who have helped me along the path, I managed to drop 50lbs and I am now 165lbs. Through regular exercise (weights and cardio) I managed to accomplish what I have wanted to accomplish for many years. I also began to eat a lot healthier and cut a lot of junk food and such out.
I was a size 36 trouser and a large tshirt (I know this varies from company but just to give an idea) and I am now a 33, sometimes a 32, and I now wear medium but mostly small sized shirts now. I had to literally make 7 holes into my belt and I am thinking of just buying a new belt lol.
Now I really want to get cut and to get rid of my small love handles that you see there, but I have been told that this will disappear with time. I love to exercise and it is truly a part of my life now, and I run regularly and do weights regularly too.
Here are the pics, comments and criticisms are very much appreciated! And if you have any advice on what I should do to get "fitter" then do give them!!

21st of May 2009 (165lbs)
Thanks to all that have helped and for those that will post some tips, thanks to you as well!! I also have a journal in the journal section if you want to check up on it :P

50 lbs... that ain't nothing.... Wait, did you lose that from your body? Then that is amazing, thought you were lifting 50 lbs. On that note, I bet you feel much lighter and more energized everyday. Try using a 20-50 lbs weighted vest one time and imigane that you were carrying that weight around you all the time before; big difference!!!
Congradulation and keep it up man; wow 50 lbs!!!! nicely done.

50# in 5 months?
That's damned awesome man...you can tell by the pics that you had a lot of progress.
Want to give us a little bit of info on your workouts and your diet? That would be nice, we always like to see everyone's own approach.
Anyways - Now that's you've cut the fat off of your body, maybe you'll consider bulking?
Kudos to you!
I myself am 208#, 5' 11" and 25 years old. My goal is to lose 10 pounds per month as well.
No but seriously, you must feel like dynamite.

Thanks a lot guys, I kept a routine journal of my workouts in the journal section for those who want to see what my exercises were.
As for dieting, I did not go crazy on calorie counting because I wanted to live my life lol, I still drank beer from time to time and sometimes went out for fast food, not often but sometimes as a reward.
One thing that I found that really helped was consistency. I realise now that doing it on a regular basis is so important because it firstly makes you really into working out (i love to workout now, I feel like I need to be active, whereas at the beginning I hated doing it) and also once you start seeing the results it just pushes you even more.
I feel so much more energized, I can run faster and easier, I can jump around and mess around lol without worrying about gasping for air, clothes look so much better on me now (lol) my gf loves it too :P
I don't want to bulk up, but I want to get cut, and if anyone has any good exercises or are willing to help me, please post here, or preferably in my journal if possible. My workout journal is entitled Henry's Workout Journal or something like that. Thanks for the feedback guys, it feels great to finally post my picture. I lost most of the fat in about 4 months, losing 10lbs a month is so possible, I didnt have to kill myself with dieting or anything. I began to eat a lot more fruit and nuts also. As for main meals, I just eat the same, but I wasn't eating badly anyways prior the my life change, I just ate a lot with no physical exercise.
So please, if you have any suggestions or tips on getting cut, please post in my journal, because I still want to lose my love handles and get some abs lol!

damn man that's awesome, good job!
to get cut you got to do a lot of reps, it burns the fat in between the muscles to give it that cut up look. do things like super-sets

You're right. Lift heavy to build muscle. Lighter weights, higher reps is endurance training.

You look great.
I wouldn't worry about those "love handles". They don't stand out at all.
