Greetings, I'm new here, This looks like a good site!

Greetings,
My name is Franklin McQuaid, I live in Fulton NY, USA! I'm new to this forum. I'm 48 years of age and I have over 30 years in the fitness and health field as a competitive powerlifter, coach, and personal trainer. Year to date I have three New York State Powerlifting Championships, One USPF Sub-Master National Championship title and one IPA World Cup Powerlifting Championship title.

I have been in and out of the competitive action throughout my thirty plus years of fitness. I have a home gym that makes it much easier for me to train. I started competing at the age of 26 at the body weight of 113lbs. Lifting on the 114lbs class. Best lifts then was a 240lbs squat, 165lbs bench press, and a 355lbs deadlift. When I was 27 I stopped competing, and did not return till I was 36. I competed for three years, this is when I won my three State titles, A National meet, and a World cup meet. I lifted in the 132lbs class at the body weight of 127lbs. Best lifts was a 360 squat, a 225bls bench press and a 407lbs deadlift.

After winning my National title, I took the last 9 years off of competing. Now at 48, I am training to a come back to the platform. I'm looking to start back either next year or when I am 50. I am looking forward to 50! My goal is the make a USAPL Master National Team, as to represent the USA at the Worlds. I am now 160lbs body weight, and will drop down to 146lbs to compete at the 148lbs class! As of now, my goal is to close in on a 500lbs plus squat, 280lbs to 300lbs plus bench press, and 500lbs plus deadlift.

I love helping people meet their goals and dreams in life. My wife and I just started a non-profit Ministry. Power For life Ministry Inc. The purpose of this Ministry is to use the gift that was given to me in powerlifting to help others with a need! (Charity) To put on lifting meets and other athletic events to raise fund for a cause! We are also looking forward in teaching other of the importance of being well balance Spiritually, Mentally, Physically, and Financially! Power For Life Ministry is looking to buy land to hold these events. As a gift to our community, we are looking forward in putting in a skatepark plaza for the youth. as well as an outdoor fitness park for adults! My wife and I are excited about our vision and the plans that are already being made! You can learn more by clicking on our web site in my profile here on this site! If anyone has any questions about Power For Life, or anything else on our site, Please feel free to email me with your questions. Again, We like helping others to believe and achieve their dreams and goals in life!
God Bless,
Franklin McQuaid
