Hello y'all!

Thanks for having me, I'm excited to finally join one of these boards since I started working out regularly about two years ago.

I'm currently 6'1" and my weight fluctuates between 189 and 193 pounds, depending on my water/food consumption for the day. When I began working out, I tipped the scales at 232 pounds. My target weight is around 180 pounds.

I've been having problems reducing my belly and hip fat despite my diet and workout routine. I steadily consume bananas, granola bars, and protein shakes, with chicken wings, roasted chicken, and semi-sweet fruits for dinner. I do occasionally cheat and have a one-inch square of a brownie, a piece of candy, or a beer, but I've been very good in managing my food intake. For the past two months, my extended workout routine has been:

3 days a week: 30-40 minutes of weightlifting (10 reps x 4 sets x 5 different exercises), 2.5 miles jogging, 20-30 minutes of shooting around on the basketball court

3 days a week: 4 miles jogging, 20-30 minutes of shooting around on the basketball court

1 day a week: Rest day, as my lower back, shins, and feet become sore from the miles I'm putting on them

Does anyone have any advice for me, or any suggestions as to how I can improve my training? I've never asked anyone how to do anything, I'm pretty much flying solo on this and I have been for a few years now.

And thanks again for having me.
