lost newbie^^

hi everyone another new person here, hoping to pick up some tips and advice from you guys.

ok heres my current situation-im 23, 6 ft tall and i weigh 204 pounds. back in jan i weighed 240 but have lost considirable weight from cutting down on beers and watching what i ate, but now i feel its time to bring in some excersize into my daily routien.im very unfit!

my overall goal is too lose the beer gut and be in all round good healthy shape, i would like to be nicely defined-but not real big. can anyone reccomend a suitible workout? here is a list of the stuff i have avalible to use around the home (gym membership isnt possibal at the moment)

weights bench and 120kilos of weight, dumbells, curlbar, tricep bar, benchpress bar..a decent excersize bike..situp bar and stomach trainer..stepper type machine.

since i started working out about a week ago i have been doing 1 day on the bike and one day on the free weights-sit. when im on the bike i do 25 mins and on the free weights i do 3 sets of 10 reps benchpressing and dumbells. situps i do daily.

if anyones willing to put up with my lame spelling an could point me in the right direction that would be great because as of now im not really sure what im doing lol

cheers everyone

thanks i have been having a really good look through most of the sub forums, and esspecily the stickies after u mention that. to be honest im feeling a little bit overwelmed with everything at the moment.

iv learnt lots of new things already! the main thing being just how important a good diet is, i knew eating well would help but i never would have thought it makes such an impact!.

certain things are confusing me , iv been reading lots about cutting and bulking-and how you can only do one at a time, this has me confused if to diet first and try to lose my belly (a main priority) or forget cutting fat and weight train, cutting fat once i have some extra muscle and a higher metabolizm.i am over weight, but not huge. i could post pics in the photo section if this could help reccomendations(enjoyed the inspirational pics there )

im very new and totaly inexsperianced, and im wondering if im trying to learn to much at once. would it be a good idea if i forget the excersises/workout plans ect for the moment and work on learning and understanding nutrition? from what i have read this seems just as vital as the weight training
