Thumbs up My Coaching Philosophy

Hi world, nice to meet you!

I would compile my entire coaching philosophy in full on here but it is an entire book. So I thought the best way to introduce myself is to let you get in my mind as a player and coach. Those are two things that consume my existance.

I love to play basketball and until my body does not let me anymore I will do what makes me happy. I also think that to be a good coach is to understand how a player thinks to. My playing style is not flashy. I try to be as all of my coaches have taught me.

I am a mix of coaches. I have had a few coaches that I have taken most of my theories and philosophies from. Here is my coaching philosophy in short:

Understand as a coach you are THE leader of the team. You need to concentrate on one word at all times. Leadership. What are the best things you can do for these players so they can be champions in life and basketball. Always try your best to make any player in an education enviroment succeed at reaching their academic goals. Conduct your team like a family. Show care to one another becuase you are sharing time doing something that is special.

Augie Johnston
