Arrow Newbie Question About Protein

Hello All, I am new to this forum. Quick question- I recently included protein powder shake to my daily diet. Does this make you gain weight? (For a female)

Eatting more calories than you need makes you gain weight.
There are just as many calories in protien as there are in carbs.

if you have worked out how many calories you need and you are including the protein suppliment in your daily requirements then there is no problem. but if you dont eat well then its not going to help.

Also, its far better to get your protein from whole foods if you can, use a supliment if and when you have to.

Thanks for the reply. I don't eat any red meat, and I heard getting protein from other sources that are vegetarian friendly are not as complete as getting it from meat. Is that true?
I picked the protein with the lowest amount of calorie, 205 cal with 40 g protein.

There is nothing wong with lean beef 3times a week. maypeople will have good argumants to support eatting beef every day.

chicken and turkey are by far the best source of protein.
