Newbie from Scotland!

Hey all!

Completely new to the forum!

I'm a 27 year old guy from Scotland, looking to get onto a bit of a body transformation!

I've always been into sports and so on but for about the last 7 years I've not given my body the proper nutrition and training it needs. I've always been on the fence of getting heavily into it, and I slide again.

I play football (american), and last July, tore my MC ligament. The few months following saw me sink to an all time low in terms of my fitness and physique. It wasn't till December, the first time I'd seen some pictures taken of myself that I saw just what horrible shape I'd gotten into.

So - I went extreme (the wrong way) and lost a fair few lbs, by cutting my calories way down and cardio every day. I burnt myself out, obviously.

I'm not sure of my weight right now, I'll weigh in when I head to the gym tonight. But I would guestimate I'm at about 20-21% BF, and I'm sick of it.

I've been rehabing my leg, and plan to return to football in early 2010, but more immediately, I want to get myself into better condition for a big vacation planned in May, to Orlando FL.

I'm groomsman at a friends wedding, and will also be going to a bachelor/stag party at Key West. There's going to be friggin Abercrombie n Fitch models attending. I mean, cmon. Gimme a break!

So… I have two months. a little less than two months to get somewhere… of course…I know the finishing line for my goals is a long way off longer than that, I just want to be happier when I come home and look at the photos from the trip.

I don't mind going pretty extreme for a couple of months to kick start things if it would help me get results faster, but I know that it's a long haul. I've no idea what kind of realistic results to expect within that time frame, given eating exactly as I should, and working out accordingly.

My ultimate goal is to be a lean, mean 210 lbs. Like a smaller version of the Rock. lol

I'm 6'1, and I'll post some body pics later on. I carry most of my excess weight on my back and stomach/chest. My legs seem to remain unaffected and fairly lean.

Would it be fair to expect, that in two months I could look reasonably athletic again, putting on a bit of size up top while cutting off the fat? Or should I concentrate on burning the fat up till I'm as lean as possible then bulk up? Or should I concentrate on bulking then let the fat peel off as I go?

Help! My head is frazzled with the information overload of the web and it's ideals on what I should do, but I'd love to get some human response…

anyway… Here we go! Lookin forward to hearing from anyone!

Thanks
J

I'm sure you still have lots of muscle from playing football, so I'd focus on losing the fat for the next two months. Besides a and f models are skinny ;-)

Look into your face and hands.

When you reach your goal as planned and step on the witness stand, a tear of joy will emerge from your tear gland, and everyone in Scotland will know your happiness was planned.

Control your destiny.

Welcome to the forum.

Best wishes,

Chillen
