Question from a newbie....

Hi guys...

I'm new to the forum, which I thought might be helpful for keeping my New Year's Resolutions intact.

I've been on a couple of the boards....and was wondering about other people on the site....

A little about myself- I live in the DC area, work in marketing, which means I'm basically at my computer from 9-5 every day, and then spend a couple hours each day in the car commuting, so as you can see, I'm not that active. I don't have a ton of time for working out, but am trying to get motivated to make time. Are a lot of people in here like me, or are there more buff body building types?

From my point of view, it's a mix - there's fitness professionals on this forum (trainers etc), as well as fitness enthusiasts, (some of whom happen to be bodybuilders), and those who just want to drop a few pounds. So, chances are there's someone (or some people) with goals similar to yours. Try posting a diary in the Women's Health section with your goals, food plan and training regimen so you (and others on the forum) can track your progress. Welcome to the boards.

I'm right there with ya. I'm on the computer 8-10 hours a day and drive 45 minutes one way to my job. I take care of horses morning and night. I fell into a horrible "hurry-up and go" diet and lazy lifestyle. Its easy to do when we have deadlines and committments, huh?
I decided to stop the insanity this year after spending too much time gaining weight on low calorie diets that would not work. So I found myself here learning the real truth!

Oh yeah, that's me alright! I'm doing everything I can now to try and incorporate health/fitness into my lifestyle, and even just perusing the boards here and there throughout the day helps me to stay motivated, and head to the gym a few times a week after work!

That's the idea anyways

Thank you all for the welcome

I am the only programmer in a start up company. I am in front of computers from 10 to 16 hours a day. Typing helps me burn some

Welcome to the forum. Whenever I seem to loose motivation, I stumble upon some post that puts me back on track. Thanks everyone.
