Back again....

A little history if you care to read since I do not believe in cliff notes. I was on here in late '06 to early '07. I'm 5'8", and I started out at 275 (my heaviest ever) with some breathing issues. Thru exercise and an attempt at a decent diet I got down to a low of 232. Enter real life, family issues, and a few other things and I was unable to maintain my progress.

At the beginning of this year I found myself back at 260 and starting to have problems again. I'm starting the same way I did last time: Cleaning up my diet. I also have a new job where I am *much* more active than almost any other job I've had. So far I'm down 10 lbs, and my goal still sits in the 205-210 range.

On a side note: weight is not my only gauge. I'm working up my stamina on an elliptical (sp), as well as working up to commuting to work on my bike (8-10 mi). If my knees get better, I'll start running again with a biathlon as the goal. I've also got 2 pairs of 34" waist pants and 2 L polo shirts I'd *love* to fit in without feeling self-conscious... maybe go swimming this summer sans shirt....

Good luck again. I'm gonna put you on the spot; what duathlon are you looking toward (length and date).

BTW, the run-bike-run event is called a duathlon (a biathlon is a winter event with shooting and skiing).;

I'm really not sure what's in this area yet. I'm sure there's a LOT simply because there's huge biking and running clubs. I'm not ready to run quite yet. I think I'd make it a goal for next spring...
