I would never choose baked beans as a carb. Loaded with sugar as stated above.
There a far better choices such as pinto, black, kidney, lentils, etc... |

Yep - most baked beans have fairly high levels of sugar, although Heinz now do a low sugar/low salt version which tastes just as good.
The beans used are Navy beans which are high in protein and fibre and low in fat/calories. WHFoods: Navy beans
I just like them as they are a quick and filling an stop me from snacking on other stuff. |

Loaded with sugar definately, but not a "bad" choice I would say. |
