| | | Best Alcohol/Beer Hey all-
I am a moderate drinker at parties (friday/saturday nights) and I was wondering what is the best alcohol or beer to consume for a high protein bulking diet. I have some room for extra calories, however.
Thanks for the help. |

| | | I personnally like Guiness Stout, but I don't think any beer has any good nutritional effects in helping you add muscle mass. One or two beers a night on occasion should not hurt your progress either, from a nutritional standpoint. However, any effect it may have on relaxing you and improving your attitude may actually help you psychologically as long as you do not overdo it. |

| | | Alcohol/Beer is full of worthless empty calories. If you must drink I'd go for something like Barcardi light and Diet Coke which is somewhere around 60 calories per drink. |

| | | How old are you? I'd swear in another post you said you were only 18. Maybe I'm confusing you with someone else...
but if you're not a full grown adult, the impact alcohol will have on your final stages of growth is far more important than the extra calories it might put in your diet.
I don't care about hte moral issue of underage drinking...hell I did it myself.
the health reasons though.... |

| | | I am 18. I'm more worried about talking on a cell phone that causes brain cancer, or cooking with a teflon pan that causes lung cancer, or taking too many coast to coast airplane trips which gives off radiation, or eating the meat grown in America which messes with hormone levels...I'm not worried about the effects of occasional drinking any more than the other 1,000 things that are going to end up killing me at a young age of 93 in 2083. |

| | | I guess I don't understand the mentality of "I wanna be all fit, so what kind of alcohol is best to consume". |

| | | I dont think theres wrong with drinking alcohol... 2eme REP drinks beer like its water yet they are probably the fittest bunch of people around! personally i like "Aas Fatøl" (Norwegian brand), after that dark leffe, and then Stella Artois! IMO Norwegian & Belgian beer is some of the best around |

| | | dont really think there is a problem with drinking, as long as u dont overdo it. Dont wanna **** up ure liver at a young age haha. But drinking is definatly better then smoking, a habbit i hope never to pick up, even if i do come from a smoking family and not to mention the many friends I have that smoke as well |

| | | Just Google "alcohol and calories" there are several great websites that tell you exactly how many calories and how much alcohol is in hundreds of the most popular brands. |

| | | well you purists will be glad to hear that over the course of the entire weekend, i had two beers. I chose Michelob Ultra to be the best for me and it actually is one of the better tasting ones. If you are going to drink beer, then go with Ultra for taste and nutrition (obviously not beneficial nutrition).
Cheers. |
