Ok. My BMR when I was 300lbs = 2744.7cal. Well, now that I am around 195 my BMR = 2000cal (this does not seem right!)
My question is: How often do I check my BMR, and does it change? If I checked it in 2005 when I was 300lbs and never checked it again, I would be way off.
Well, BMR can't take into account how much fat and muscle you have. its just pure mass/weight.
when 120% or more of your ideal bodyweight, you have to adjust your weight used in the BMR calculation, so you get a more accurate BMR, not your 'keep me this fat BMR'
A side question. Is 100% Shredded wheat (the rectangle type in the yellow box) a good complex carb to eat along with a chicken brest, or should I just have an apple?
