Smile Carbs, Protein, and Fats...??

I was just reading a link that was posted around here and I was curious as to whether I got the right information from it. I read all about the good and bad fats and carbs and everything. According to what I was reading this is what I drew from it.

Protein: This link said try to aim for eating 20G of protein per meal or 1G per pound of body weight.

Carbs: It was saying go for 200-225G of carbs daily. Is it just me or does that sound kind of high? (Yes, I realize they can add up quicker than you realize if you are counting every one.) It also said it was a good idea to eat most of your carbs during the morning or before or after workouts and then phase out as you enter the pm. Is that correct as well?

Fats: I wrote down a lot of what it said about the different kinds of fats both good and bad. Basically I was just checking to whether the fact it said about 30% of your calories should come from fat. It was also saying you should aim for little fat in the am then increase in the pm. Does that sound right?

Okay, so I know that everybody is different and every body requires a different diet depending on what your specific goals are, but does this sound about right just for a healthy diet/losing weight? If not, any advice or tweaking of this (or correcting me) would be helpful. Your comments, suggestions, and help is greatly appreciated! Have a wonderful day.

that's sounds like my article so who better to comment...these are just starting points...if you are putting on fat wt than your 1st protocal would be to start lowering carbs a little...you want fat in pm so as to slow down digestion so you'll have less chance of binging or over eating when activity level is low...i have about that much carbs 2 - 3 days a week and I'm maintaining / losing fat while on a postural improvement program so that's where i got that from but evrybody will be different

Thanks for the responses. I appreciate them tremendously! I'll try this and see how it works for me. I've spent the whole day today watching what I'm taking in and writing everything down to keep track. I think I'm doing well and I owe so much of it to this forum. I'm really glad I found you guys! There are already little differences I've noticed. I don't feel fatigued all the time, I feel like I have more energy, and just feel better all around about myself. Hopefully things will stay like this and I'll not only feel good but be healthy as well. Again, I just wanted to thank you guys because this really is important to me and it's nice to find people who are as involved and concerned with fitness and nutrition as I am. All my friends and family just think I'm crazy and obsessive, but they just don't understand. Anyway, before I talk your ears off I'll head out. Have a wonderful evening! Keep the comments and suggestions coming if you would like!

P.s. - Swans05: If what I read was from your article then I thank you for writing that article! It was very informative and I learned quite a bit I didn't know before. I enjoyed it very much.
