common question but, are these good meal plans?

My meal plan.(please, feel free to critique it in any way shape, or form )

Meal 1: Oats, honey, cinamon, splenda. 1 peice of toast and a tablespoon of peanut butter(good for you kind). a lot of times raisons in the oat meal as well.

Meal 2: about 3 hours and 30 minutes later) sandwich( i now know that is bad and need some help with that). some kind of fruit(usually orange or apple since its easy to pack for school) some type of nut.

Meal 3:about 2 hours and 30 minutes later) bean burritto with cheese( i know cheese, shame on me lol) some freaking awsome salsa(home made) and chicken in the burritto

Meal 4: Usally whatever the cook( my ma) decides to cook. I've gotten them into a healthyer eating style, so it's usually ok for me to eat. Then i cut it into good proportion size.

Meal 5: depends. if i have a work out i have a protein shake, then afterwards have a type of fruit, or apple juice(because of the suggar content it has)
If im running that day, then i usually just have a scoop of penute butter and milk..considering its my last meal of the day...i'm going to change that to cottage cheese though. cause of the recent milk artical. and i get enough peanuts during the day. Anyone have a recipee to make cottage cheese enjoyable?

o yeah for extra information. I'm 16, 5'7 and about 132 pounds. i believe my body fat percent is about 8 to 9 percent. I'm not cutting wait, i guess im more so in the range of bulking. I donno, i guess im just dieitng right, wouldnt really call it bulking up.

Thanks for any help yall give. feel free to critique my diet in anyway. it cant do anything but help

Not enough protein. Add a whole egg and 3/4cps egg whites.

Not eating often enough. You should be eating every 2-3 hours, closer to 2 more than 3. Again, doesn't sound like enough protein.

Cheese isn't bad, in general, but some are better than others. Look for one that has at least as much protein as fat, but one that is more protein than fat is better. String cheese is good in that regard, so is cottage cheese.

I don't think you're getting enough protein with your feedings.

I can't comment with such a vague description. The amino acids in protein are the bricks for building muscle. You need to make sure you're getting enough, about 1g/lb of body-mass.

I put a scoop of chocolate whey and a pkt of splenda in 1 cp CC. It's pretty good.

What milk article are you refering to?

Agree with Cynic. I also put 1 scoop whey, some ground flax seeds, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and 1 tbsp flax oil in my cc. I just grinded up some pecans and almonds as well, so I am gonna throw them in as well.

Here are my suggestions:

Meal 1) Not enough protein.

Meal 2) I usually bring chicken and brown rice to school. Throw it in a tupperware and eat in between classes.

Meal 3) Cheese is not bad. It's actually a good source of fat.

Meal 4) No comment since I don't know what you're eating.

Meal 5) To make cottage cheese more enjoyable I mix it with splenda, half scoop of protein shake, and natural peanut butter. Tastes great. Also, if you don't want cottage cheese, I mix protein powder and natural peanut butter together. Add some water so it's pastey, then throw in the microwave for 45 seconds. Tastes like a protien cookie

I cant help eating late on that meal because my teacher wont let us eat in class..and i have to walk from complete opposite sides of school, so i cant really eat between classes. I can fix the protein thing though. O yeah, yall said somthing about being vage on dinner. examples on my dinner

Usually chicken, ham(had that tonight) turkey, ground beef( its lean) steak, and somtimes pork. also we have beans(any type), corn, potatos etc. for our side dishes.

since i eat late between one meals, should i consume more calories than the rest of my meals on breakfast? It wouldnt make me gain body fat % since the rest of my meals would be on time would it? Like i said i'm not at a stat were i need to lose weight. more so just gaining a little bit more muscle and just looking fit i reckon. thanks for yalls help
