I'm working on a diet plan right now that I plan on starting monday, however my dextrose won't get in until around then. Can someone tell me the calories/carbs/proteins/fats in a single serving of dextrose? Thanks a lot.

dextrose is PURE sugar, so a pure carbohydrate. 4 calories to a gram of dextrose.

there is no set 'serving size' of dextrose...its whatever you need to get your carb intake goals.

on average, dextrose in a PWO shake is twice the protein amount. assuming 25g of protein, that's 50g of dextrose, which is 200calories in carbs (and 100 cals in the protein, not including any carbs or fat in the protein powder...so prolly more like 120cals from the protein).

Alright, gotcha. So with a 25g serving of whey, I'd have 50g dextrose, and in total it'd be about 300-320c, correct? I'd be having these alone mixed with just water for a PWO Shake.

yep. that's assuming your protein powder only has 2-4g of carbs, and no more than 1.5g of fat.

also, dextrose is more dense than whey powder, so it's not as easy as 1 scoop of protein, 2 scoops of dextrose. if you have a kitchen scale, use it to weigh a protein scoops' worth of dextrose.
Don't quote me but I think a 39cc scoop will hold 45g of dextrose when its a level scoop.

I have no scales, but I read that about 2 tablespoons of dextrose is about 50g, what's your say on that?
