Eat Natural Bars - Info

Hey everyone.

any one tried the Eat Natural range?
http://www.eatnatural.co.uk/hi/index.jsp

The bars are amazing and claim to be made from all natural ingredients.

for the Fruit and Nut. the ingredients are

16% brazil nuts
Gluscose Syrup
11% almonds
11% sultanas
11% peanuts
Puffed rice
8% Hazlenuts
5% apricots
honey
1% peach

per bar
223 kcals
5.8g protein
25g carbs (12g sugars)
11.2 fat (1.5 sat fats)

what do you think? i tend to have them mid morning as a snack, plus an apple. the glucose syrup worried me a little; i make my own oat and whey bars as a pre-WO snack and at leats you know where its all come from, but these are nice and convenient.

thanks

Just from the nutrition label... it is a bit high in sugar. Anything with sugar higher than 20% of total carbs is too much sugar. That combined with the apple you are thinking about... well that's a lot of sugar

On the flip side, it's not the worst food I have ever seen either.

Math: 25g Carb = 2.5g equals 10% so 5g equals 20%. Anything over 5g sugar for this bar is too much. This bar has 12g of sugar of 50% of the total carbohydrates.
