Energy Drinks?

how bad are energy drinks when trying to bulk up?

I eat healthy, lots of protein, ie. meats, whey, protein bars ect. try my best to pump in the calories so i can keep bulking.. I supplement with creatine. workout 4-5 times a week, but notice i lose a bit of mass when im constantly throwing down rockstars and redbulls..? Will it significantly hinder my workout progress if i keep drinking them? Or is there any other way i can do something that can counteract them? thanks for the replys.

i think everything is acceptable in modersation, since there is sugar in these products for the most part, it would not aid in your bulking phase. But, consuming energy drinks is not the worst form of drink..so if you enjoy it, drink them. I do believe that these products can give you energy to perform a task, but it is really a personal option.

Have you tried Monster Lo-Carb? It tastes virtually identical to regular Monster and only has 20 calories and (6g carbs) per can. That's a lot better than Rockstar, which has over 200 calories and something like 54g carbs.

Don't those things cause an insulin spike and are bad for you? (Sorry, I've been watching too much Oprah.)
