Some of you may be coffee drinkers, I can't stand coffee.
Basically I was wondering what some of you guys/gals do to wake yourself up in the morning. I'm definately not a morning person no matter how much sleep I get. I shower first thing, make a good breakfast, and still find myself yawning all the way to work.
I use to drink a red bull in the morning but I stopped doing that because that stuff is bad for you. Any tips?
Dude, get an alarm clock that can blare your favorite workout song, first thing in the morning...I'm talkin about something w/ some dance-club-like pumpin speakers, that outta do it. (LOL) Like one that you can hook up your IPOD to, or one that can play a CD.
Or- try making a fresh fruit smoothie. (If you like smoothies)...They always give me a boost in the AM.
Really? As soon as i have a shower it wakes me right up. Only relaxes me at night.
Haha, yeah they do, thats why i cant have one straight away, i have to go have one after ive eaten and all that
On the extra kick note, what about things like barrocca (or however its spelt), never tried one persoanlly but apparantly they wake you up, i have no idea on the nutritional value or whats in one, i would assume alot of suggers though

Honestly, from one sleep lover to another, the only thing to do is go to bed earlier.
If you need help falling asleep earlier i suggest working out, then eating, and after recovering somewhat from your workout, go for a long ass hike/walk. At least 2 hours long. Then, say you need to be asleep at 22.00, I would turn all lights off, turn the TV off, all computers off, at about 21.00, go to bed, light a candle and read a book to wind down.
That stuff really works. My boss intro'd me to it. His body reacts to coffee for more "kick in the pants wake up" energy, but I eat that stuff, as well as use it before and during my ride. That stuff is good as hell, especially the vanilla bean and chocolate. Kicks in REALLY quick too since it's a gel.
