Question How much protein afte a work-out is enough?

I'm curious if there is a certain amount of protein one should take after working out. I read somewhere not too long ago that a 4 to1 carb to protein should be taken as soon as you can once finsihed working out.

I usually get at least 35 grams of protein after a work-out.
--15grams from a Slimfast drink (supplement)
--20grams of whey protein
--8grams from the milk with whey protein
--And usually a meal of some type

35 grams of protein post workout is plenty. Anymore would probably be unnecessary.

Actually there was a good article in one of the NSCA's journals about this recently. http://www.nsca-lift.org/Perform/art...?ArticleID=101

Check it out.

That's a really great article. I disagree a little with the ratio of protein:carbs because I think that eating too many carbs in a day is what causes people to get fat by not burning it ... however, that's only a personal opinion.
