Macros pre and post workout

Was just wondering how this worked. I know that you are supposed to get carbs and protein pre-workout for weight training, and the same post workout, but why not fats as well? Im confused, does that mean I cant eat eggs post workout because of the fats? or can I eat fats

what are we supposed to get pre/post workout and what are we supposed to avoid mixing. And what is it for cardio as well?

Im guessing you have to be more strict with it on a cut, but I just want my diet to be on par when I begin my cut and dont want to screw things up.

Any advice would be appreciated

thanks guys

You want to avoid fats post workout because it slows the absorption of protein when your muscles need it as quickly as possible. A lot of people suggest avoiding fats pre-workout as well.

When possible, i try to have 3-4 eggs (1 or 2 whites, 2 whole) and a bowl of oatmeal about 1-1.5 hours before i work out. A lot of times though I am going straight from work, so i will try to grab the best alternative around.

Post-workout is always a shake for me. it's typically suggested to shoot for a 2 to 1 carb/protein ratio. I've been really happy with the blend i've put together.

1 scoop of whey (22g protein)
.5 scoop of casein (11g protein)
1 heaping scoop of maltodextrin (~30g carb depending on how "heaping" it is)
.75 scoop of dextrose (20 carbs)
5g creatine

This puts it around 33g protein, 50 carbs... so I could probably up my carbs a bit, but i slack a little on the carbs to avoid extra cals.
